An MP3 conversion depends on two things: the link resolving, and the video actually having an audio track that can be served on its own. When one is missing, the tool says so rather than producing a silent file.

First confirm the link works in the video downloader. If the video downloads but the MP3 does not, the post likely has no separately available audio stream — save the MP4 and extract the sound locally instead.

- Retry once — a stalled request on a weak connection looks like a failure.
