What we process

We process the TikTok link you submit in order to request video information from our processing service. We do not ask for an account, a name or an email address to use the tool.

Storage

Videos and audio files are not stored permanently on our servers. Processing links returned by the service are temporary and expire automatically.

Logs and abuse protection

We keep short-lived technical information such as an IP-derived request counter to apply rate limiting and prevent abuse of the API.

Cookies

Mytiktools does not set advertising or tracking cookies for the downloader itself.

Third parties

Requests are forwarded to the configured video-processing provider. Their handling of the submitted link is governed by their own policy.

Accounts and usage counters

If you create an account we store your user id, email, plan (free or pro), your transcription count, your Pro activation date and the related PayPal order id. These counters are stored and enforced on our server so they cannot be changed from your browser.

Guest usage tracking

Free guest transcriptions are counted server-side using a salted one-way hash of your IP address. We do not store the raw IP for this counter, and the record expires on a rolling 24-hour window.

Transcription processing

Media you upload is validated on our server and sent to our speech-to-text provider (Groq Whisper) to produce the transcript. Media files are processed temporarily and deleted after the job finishes; they are not permanently stored. Because the media is processed by a third-party provider, we cannot claim it stays entirely within our own systems. If you are signed in, the resulting transcript is saved to your account history so you can reopen it, and you can delete it at any time.

Payments

Pro payments are handled by PayPal. We never receive your PayPal password or card details. We store only the PayPal order id, capture id, amount, currency, status and timestamp for the payment linked to your account.

Your responsibility

Only submit links to publicly accessible content that you have the right to download.
