How to Download TikTok Videos on Android

By Mytiktools Team 4 min read

Android handles browser downloads the way a desktop does: the MP4 goes into a real folder you can browse, and the media scanner usually surfaces it in your gallery within a few seconds.

Quick answer

Copy the video link in TikTok, paste it into the downloader in Chrome, tap download, then open Files › Downloads or your gallery to find the MP4.

Steps in Chrome

  1. Tap Share on the TikTok video, then Copy link.
  2. Open Chrome and load the TikTok Video Downloader page.
  3. Long-press the input and paste the link.
  4. Tap the video download and confirm if Chrome asks.
  5. Open your Files app › Downloads, or check your gallery.

If the video is not in your gallery

Some gallery apps only rescan on a schedule. The file is still in Downloads — open it from the Files app, or reboot once to force a media scan. Moving the file into your Movies or DCIM folder also makes most gallery apps pick it up immediately.

Samsung, Xiaomi and other skins

Manufacturer browsers such as Samsung Internet and Mi Browser follow the same flow. Only the name of the downloads folder and the location of the download icon differ.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a downloader app from the Play Store?
No. A browser-based tool avoids installing anything and does not ask for storage-wide permissions.
Can I save the audio instead?
Yes — the TikTok MP3 Downloader at /tiktok-mp3 takes the same link and returns an MP3.
